Asda Launches First Ever Mid-Sized Jeans
George at Asda has launched a range of jeans which are available in mid sizes 11,13 and 15. The move is in response to the results of a survey which shows that the average size of a British woman is 15 and not 16 as previously thought.
The study surveyed over 10,000 British women and suggests that 62 per cent consider themselves to be an ‘in-between size’ as opposed to the traditional sizes of 8, 10 or 12.
Fiona Lambert, brand director at George says: “One of the most common complaints from our customers is that they are in between sizes – this is back up by our extensive research. We all know there is nothing more unflattering than a pair of jeans that are too tight or loose. We aim to solve this dilemma with our mid-sized jeans – giving George customers great fitting jeans at a great price.”
Asda also found that 42 per cent of the survey’s respondents have between £20 to £49 to spend on jeans a year, with 20 per cent of the country having £19 or less.
The George mid-sized jeans retail at £12, and will be available online or at selected Asda stores.
